Meet a team both professional and passionate with a unified goal of helping you achieve yours.

Unite Fitness Retreat is a “boutique-style” professionally guided, live-in fitness, weight loss, and wellness program where people from all over the world come to improve their health and wellness.  Typically, guests attend our program to reach a weight loss goal, enhance their current fitness regime, attain a healthy life-style, manage stress, or any combination of these.  Our passion is helping you find your own path to lasting wellness and we’ll be there for you every step of the way.

Drew Paulos
Drew Paulos Director of Sales, CEO
Drew has a passion for health and wellness and in helping people achieve their goals through living a balanced lifestyle. In 2016 Drew received a prestigious award for his entrepreneurial success with Unite Fitness Retreat as one of Utah’s top new companies. Drew is an avid outdoorsman and you can find him camping, fishing, and doing anything recreational out and about in Utah with his family. Drew received his MBA from Westminster College. Drew enjoys working out alongside our guests and believes in the power of awareness to change ones health and wellness.

Christina Paulos
Christina PaulosPre-Camp Coordinator
Christina has been in the health and wellness retreat industry for the past decade and collaborated with Drew Paulos and Leah Britt in creating the Unite program. Bringing her knowledge and experience with her, she handles Unite’s reservations and program coordinating to ensure each guest has a remarkable experience. Christina has a degree from the University of Montana in Social Work and has been inspired to be in the “Helping Profession” for as long as she can remember. She has a passion for assisting people in reaching their goals and becoming the healthiest and happiest they can be. She enjoys yoga, cooking healthy food, a good cup of coffee, camping, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.
Sarah Mouser
Sarah MouserProgram Director
Sarah grew up in Waco, Texas. She has her bachelors in Human Ecology and her Masters in Kinesiology. Sarah is a NSCA certified trainer and has been in the fitness industry for over 13 years and obtained multiple certifications including certified strength and condition specialist (NSCA CSCS), CrossFit Level I, certified massage therapist and the Functional Movement Screen. She has experience in a wide variety of areas including strength and conditioning of all athletic levels (youth to professional), CrossFit, general fitness, post orthopedic surgery, clients going through cancer treatments, etc. She specializes in movement proficiency and adaptive programming. Her attention to detail provides a comfort to new clients while pushing to achieve goals. Sarah loves to teach because she gets to help others understand their true potential and push past their physical and mental limitations. Outside of the gym you will find Sarah being active in the mountains of Salt Lake City or spending time with her family.
Trish Adams
Trish AdamsDirector of Fitness and Exercise Design
At a young age Trish developed a love of exercise and strength training. She has been active as long as she remembers. Her passion for health and wellness brought her to Utah State University where she earned her associates in Heath Education and Promotions and her bachelor’s degree in nutrition. Trish is a certified NASM personal trainer and she loves learning new ways to be active, she has been competing competitively in CrossFit for 2 years and also received her CrossFit training certification. Trish loves being in the mountains, back packing, playing volleyball, traveling and recently learned how to ski. She strives to make a difference in others lives and her motivating and positive attitude are contagious for all she works with. Trish will motivate you, inspire you, and help you find your own love of movement.
Brooke Bouwhuis
Brooke BouwhuisRegistered Dietician
Brooke is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and is passionate about teaching others how to eat for fantastic health and improved energy. Sharing her knowledge of the power of food coupled with balancing real life and your goals are where she excels. Since November of 2017, her teenage daughter has struggled with IBS – revamping her nutrition plan became a top priority. The result: a very happy, healthy teen. She loves teaching others who are struggling how food can heal.
She also has 16 years experience in the dietary supplement industry, her insight and practical recommendations can keep you from wasting a lot of money.
Brooke is the author of the blog and website “Think Inside The Blender”, which she created to share how she was able to improve the health of her picky kiddos with a daily fruit and veggie smoothie. The down-to-earth, real content inspires readers to make healthier choices.
Angie Olsen
Angie OlsenProgram Coordinator/Unite Master Trainer
Angie is a passionate health enthusiast with a degree in exercise science and wellness. She is extremely motivating, positive, and dedicated to helping people change their lives for the better. Angie handles all of the appointments and ensures each guest has what they need to accomplish their goals. She is a NASM certified personal trainer with over five years of experience in the weight loss industry. Her classes will have you dripping with sweat, smiling throughout the experience, and realizing you have the capacity to make big changes. She believes no two people are the same and everyone should be treated as an individual in each class. Angela enjoys traveling, backpacking, snowboarding, wakeboarding, rock climbing, and pretty much anything else outside that ends in an ‘ing.
Kat Dickinson
Kat DickinsonWellness Director, Yoga Instructor
Kat is a certified yoga and spin instructor. She also received her bachelors of design from Ontario College of Art and Design and her Masters of Fine Arts from California Institute of the Arts. Through the arts, she found her love for yoga and movement which eventually led her to discover how mindfulness can positively effect our lives. Her passion for mindfulness is portrayed in the activities and outings she takes the group on as well as her yoga and meditation classes. Kat loves the outdoors and takes advantage of living in Utah, her hikes and outdoor adventures will have you falling in love with nature and hiking. Kat is an avid athlete herself and you can find her traveling and exploring the outdoors in her downtime.
Steven Namanny
Steven NamannyUnite Personal Trainer, Hiking Specialist
Steve was born in the Wasatch Front but lived in the Sierra Nevada mountains near Lake Tahoe and generally feels at home anywhere with trails and mountains. He spends all of his free time, trail running, mountain biking, and hiking. He graduated from Utah Valley University with a bachelors degree in Exercise Science and Outdoor Recreation, and later completed a masters degree in Sports Conditioning and Performance from Southern Utah University. Steve spent 8 years teaching courses in Exercise Science at the University level. He is passionate about running and has qualified for the Boston Marathon but focuses mainly on trail running and ultra distance now. Last year he completed the Bryce Canyon 100 mile race, what he considers to be one of the best, and most beautiful experiences of his life. This year his main goals are to run the Grand Canyon rim to rim to rim, and finish a second 100 mile race. Steve is a firm believer in a comprehensive approach to fitness and wellness where all aspects of life must be addressed in order to find true health and happiness.
Camee Adams
Camee AdamsUnite Personal Trainer
Camee is a mom of two, WMMA fighter, life-long athlete, writer for Train for HER magazine, a mental health advocate and certified Safe Talk community suicide prevention and education trainer. She is a certified boxing instructor and teaches numerous high energy group fitness classes. She is currently becoming a certified yoga instructor. Camee is passionate about helping people find their strength and peace through the different outlets and methods of health and fitness.
Mary Miller
Mary MillerUnite Master Trainer
Mary is a STOTT certified pilates instructor, a NASM certified personal trainer, a TRX certified trainer, a Schwinn indoor cycling certified trainer, in addition, she has a nutrition certification from Precision Nutrition. She graduated from BYU with a B.S. in education. Mary has a strong background in pilates and pain management. Over the last ten years she has improved the lives of hundreds of clients through health education and by creating lasting lifestyle changes. Mary specializes in working with people of all fitness levels.
Erica Lemke
Erica LemkeCertified Life-Coach, Mindfulness Instructor
Erica holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a certificate in Gerontology. She is Life Coach certified by the Coach Training Alliance in 2015 and a licensed speciality-certified New Life Story® Wellness Coach. She aims to be board certified with the International Consortium of Health and Wellness in the fall of 2018.
Erica has a great passion for connection –with nature, through rhythm and movement, and in establishing meaningful relationships with others. These are great pleasures in her life. She dances regularly (and is especially fond of salsa, samba and tango). She enjoys everything outdoors: skiing and hiking in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains are particular favorites. She reads voraciously, loves to write poetry and cherishes time spent with family and friends. Her professional experience includes: Strategic planning and goal achievement for life transitions, program design and implementation of fitness plans for the older adult population and counseling of varied populations on behavior modification, relationships, trauma, mindfulness, self-efficacy and accountability.
Steve Jones
Steve JonesLCSW, Licensed Therapist, Life-Coach, Mindfulness Instructor
Steve is a Montana native that has spent the last few years working in the fields of addiction, trauma, and helping people to change their lives for the better. He came to Salt Lake City in 1996 to attend the University of Utah. He has a BFA in Theater Studies, Bachelors of Social Work, and his Masters of Social Work. Steve is the Founder and Clinical Director of Full Circle Yoga and Therapy, where he oversees intensive outpatient programs for addiction, domestic violence, and overseas a team of therapists in private practice. Steve is a also a Level 2 Teacher in training the iREST Meditation Protocol, a 200 hour registered yoga instructor and has competed in endurance cycling races throughout Utah. He is a mountain biker, snowboarder, cross country skier, and avid hiker. In his free time, he is either doing yoga or can be found on one trail or another with his two border collies, Abner and Bernard. Steve is also a Juvenile Diabetic (Type 1) and has overcome his own issues with addiction. Steve looks forward to working with all of our clients and supporting them as they take the next step towards the best version of themselves!
Julie Hansen
Julie HansenRegistered Dietician Consultant
Julie Hansen, M.S., R.D.N., C.S.S.D., C.D. is a Registered Dietitian and Exercise Physiologist. Julie graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Dietetics and from Colorado State University with her Master’s degree in Exercise Science. She is a certified Intuitive Eating counselor and a certified specialist in sports dietetics.
Julie currently teaches nutrition classes for Weber State and is the dietitian for the Weber State Athletic department. Julie also has a private nutrition practice and specializes in the areas of weight management, eating disorders, sports nutrition and Intuitive Eating. In the corporate wellness field, Julie works as a dietitian and exercise physiologist for the Kimberly Clark Corporation in Ogden,
Julie enjoys teaching about nutrition and offers a practical side to promoting dietary behavior change.
Kathryn Pugh
Kathryn PughLicensed Sports Massage Therapist
Kathryn is warm, friendly, and easy to talk to. She’s been licensed massage therapist from Utah College of Massage Therapy since 2014. She loves researching new techniques and home care tools and sharing that knowledge with others. Kathryn’s specialty is sports and injury massage because she gets to share in the recovery process with her clients. She helps our clients with pain management, stress-management, and muscle recovery. In her spare time she enjoys hot yoga, cooking, and knitting.
Chef Dan
Chef DanCulinary Expert
Chef Dan has cultivated relationships with local growers and food distributors that provide organic, wholesome, and sustainable produce that’s grown in balance with this precious planet that we share. The top chefs in the world all know that the best ingredients to use are those that are local and fresh. This understanding along with his diverse cooking techniques and styles that he has acquired throughout his ten year private chef cooking career, are what allow him to create savory & healthy dishes for the fitness retreat that draw many cultural traditions.
Chef Dan loves using herbs and spices grown right from his own garden and his love for everything wholesome and organic appear in every meal he creates. He loves the outdoors, the farmers market, where he has a booth each summer, and hiking.
